Why does my call of duty black ops keep freezing??!! HELP!!?

ok so heres the scoop. it will have the little notification thing at the bottom that says friends playing this game then it will freeze. on occasions, it will work. ive tried my disc on my friends xbox and it works fine. please tell me what to do!!
