My boyfriend wont take me out!?

We've been together for a year, known eachother for two years and I'm 2 months pregnant with our first child. I've asked nicely on a few occasions, Babe when can we go out & spend some time together? He dosn't have a busy life, matter of fact .. He really dosn't do much. His excuse is "I've been wanting to but now your pregnant, and, Well I come from nothing so we never new how to take out a woman. A bit rediculous or is that just me? It sucks that i feel like im on the backburner and can't take me out. What can I do!
