Is the Boeing 747-8 larger than the Airbus A830?

Is the newest iteration of the Boeing 747 larger than the Airbus A380 (double decker plane)? I heard it's longer now and can hold more passengers, but does this make it bigger? I mean in size AND capacity of passengers.
