Can you add a front-brake/caliper to a cruiser bike?

From the picture, your bike has painted rims that may not work with caliper brakes. Many bikes like this don't have rims with a proper braking surface, so even if you can mount a side pull caliper brake on the frame, the brake pads may not have a suitable braking surface to grip.
